The Mid-Hudson Valley Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association saw its beginnings in the second half of 1999. At that time, the group was not an officially recognized chapter, and did not have a formal membership. The group got together a few times in the fall to watch the Penn State football games that were being televised. As interest in forming an official chapter grew, a core group of volunteers stepped forward to help form what is our current recognized chapter. Through a lot of hard work and perseverance, the alumni association finally gained recognition as an official chapter. We are looking forward to a long and healthy lifetime and we hope that you will join in our new journey!
