Meeting called to order by Ed McCauley
The minutes from the last meeting have been posted online and were accepted.

Treasurer's Report-Kelly
·Kelly could not make it so Ed gave the Treasurer's report prepared by Kelly.
·The Treasurer's report was handed out by Ed.
·As of Jan 1, 2007 we had a balance of $5,119.30 in the General Fund. We received $1,149.11 in dues, Tim Curley University stipend and mailing allocation. We had expenses totaling $3,534.14 from the Tim Curley event, the Chicago Alumni sponsored training and the 40 PSU vs. Illinois tickets. Therefore, the General Fund balance was $2,734.27. It was noted that we will be receiving back the money paid out for the Illinois tickets once we start the process of collecting for the tickets.
·The Scholarship starting balance was $3,328.15 and we received $650 and had no expenses for a total of $3,978.15
·There was no further discussion on the finances and a motion was made to accept and it passed unanimously.

PSU at Illinois Football Game
·We discussed the Illinois bus trip on Sep 29 2007. We were allotted 40 tickets from the University. Due to the great demand for tickets, it was decided to purchase more tickets. Ed will secure the bus and items needed for the tail gate which will be on a smaller scale than last year and all cold food.

Committee updates:

College Fairs – Pam Clements
·Pam Clements reported that they had one college fair scheduled.

Membership – James Vachon
·James Vachon reported that he made two mailings to perspective PSAA Central Indiana members. He also said that no freshmen responded to his request to come to the picnic/freshman send off.

Charity Event – Tim Meta
·Tim Meta asked if the group would like to go back to Gleaners Food bank for our charity event. Everyone agreed. It was noted we should pick a Saturday when we have a late game so that we can go to Champps to watch afterward.

Phon-A-Thon – Marissa
·Marissa Snodgress was out of town and there was no new information on Phon-A-Thon.

Web Page – Erik Brandt
·Erik Brandt was asked by Ed to look into the possibility of having on-line paying of dues. He submitted a PayPal brochure and said it was possible to do it two ways. One required an email being sent back to the person for payment and the other a button right on the web site that took all the information and processed it right there. The cost was thought to be about $1.9% per transaction. Erik will look further into this option for the next meeting.

Other Business:

Viewing Parties - Don
·Don submitted his findings on the best place to hold the viewing parties. He researched about 9 facilities, and also tasted the beers while he was there. He couldn't let a golden opportunity pass him by! He concluded that with the changes that are supposed to happen at Champps we should give them another shot. We agreed.

Golf Outing - Howard Young
·Due to a family related event, Howard Young was unable to secure a golf outing for the spring. He will look into an outing in the fall. Those interested were to meet after the meeting.

College Fairs – Pam Clements
·Pam Clements gave a short report on hers and kelly Hampton's alumni training held in Chicago.

·Since there were no Freshmen in attendance and no other current students had contacted us for a scholarship, we agreed to hold off awarding a scholarship this year.

·Ed let the group know that he has been President now for 2-1/2 years and he agreed to stay on for one more year. We will need to hold elections next summer.

Meeting adjourned at 1:45 PM. Play Ball!
