NYCD PENN STATE ALUMNI CHAPTER SCHOLARSHIP FUNDRAISER

Every year your local Penn State Alumni Chapter awards a Scholarship to an area high school student who is entering Penn State. Presently the funds for this come out of our annual dues, but we are trying to get an endowed scholarship to assure long term viability. To this end we need to raise $25000. We are currently about half-way there.

As part of this effort we have set up a Fundraiser with the “Bottle and Can Retrieval Center” in Clifton Park. When you return cans at this Center, tell them you'd like to donate your receipts to the New York Capital District Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Assn. They are located at the intersection of Rt 146 and Vischer Ferry Rd in the North Country Commons Plaza. Last fall we were able to cash in $50 toward our scholarship. Keep those cans and bottles coming!

Also a reminder that you can designate any donation to Penn State be credited to the New York Capital District Chapter Scholarship Fund (and don't forget any company matching).

FIREWORKS AT THE JOE JULY 27th 6:30 PM

Mark your calendars. Our adventure this year will be on July 27th at 6:30 pm when the Valley Cats take on the Sussex County Miners. Tickets are $8.00 per person with a portion going to the local scholarship fund. Click on the following link:
