		NYCD Capital District Chapter : Get Involved
		GET INVOLVED 'RENEW THE PRIDE' Starting in 2000, a new initiative was launched by the Capital District Alumni Association called 'Renew the Pride'. The mission and purpose of the campaign was to help reconnect many of the Penn State alumni from around the Capital Region who didn't have a collective organization to effectively interact with one another. You should already notice big changes- increased membership, an efficient and dedicated board, improved communications, better and more frequent events, and more. This is still an evolving process and we still need your help. Please consider getting involved with the organization by attending one of our many events that will be posted throughout the year on this website, in our newsletters, and on our e-mail list. To get involved, please contact Greg Van Orden. Do YOU Want to Get Involved? We encourage you to use our list of officers and board members to share your ideas, concerns or comments. We are always looking for people who wish to be active members of the chapter or board. The Alumni Association encourages qualified persons with disabilities to participate in its programs and activities. If you anticipate needing any type of accommodation or have questions about the physical access provided, please contact in advance the person responsible for the event. COMMUNICATIONS What did we do before e-mail and the Internet? We can't imagine going back in time and losing the ease, speed, and simplicity of e-mail communication. At the touch of a few keys we can send updates and messages to many of you at once. Unfortunately, only one in ten of our local alumni are on our e-mail distribution list. If you have e-mail and are not receiving regular e-mail updates from the club, please contact us. You can send Greg Van Orden an e-mail requesting to be added to the list.
